WHAT WE DO
A reliable set of clothes is part of everyday dignity. Lift Up QLD works alongside individuals and community organisations to connect available clothing and household items with people who need them — respectfully, and without fuss.
Clothing is more than fabric. Appropriate clothing for school, work or the weather affects how people participate in daily life and how they feel doing it. Access to good-quality items supports dignity as much as comfort.
That is why Lift Up QLD treats donated items with care from sorting through to handover — the people receiving them deserve nothing less.
Community organisations often see first-hand where practical support is needed. By working together, organisations can help connect available clothing and household items with the people they already support.
Collaboration can take different forms depending on needs and capacity — the team welcomes conversations about what might work in your area.
Assistance is offered with respect for the people receiving it. Requests are handled personally, and the team explains clearly what support may be possible — availability always depends on current donations, suitable items and capacity.
If the requested support is not available, the team will say so plainly and discuss other options that may be worth exploring.
